White Collar Boxing originated in New York in 1988. A doctor and an attorney trained for a few weeks before boxing each other at a black tie event. Since then White Collar Boxing has been the fastest growing corporate contact sport in the world.
Ultra White Collar Boxing is the most established organisation in the UK, running hundreds of events since 2009. They’ve raised more money for charity, won more awards and are the most conscientious about health and safety than any other organisation. One of Cancer Research UK’s biggest fundraisers in the UK raising over £2 Million alone in 2015. You can find out more here.
Drax have supported the Cancer Research Charity in various guises since our company was formed more than twenty years ago. From 2005 and 2007 we have also had the pleasure of maintaining the fire alarm system for two of their charity sites. Many colleagues at Drax have personal reasons for wanting to show their support and when David approached Drax to be his sponsor there was no hesitation.
Cancer Research UK have saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Over the past century, their researchers have made consistent progress in the fight against cancer, and survival has doubled over the past 40 years. You can read more about the charity here.
